There’s Lots to See and Do in Kansas!

Kansas is in a region called the Great Plains. It’s located roughly in the middle of the country. Kansas has many farms and ranches. Let’s explore some interesting things to see and do around the state!

In 1861, Kansas became the 34th state. The Kansas Capitol Building is in Topeka, Kansas. This is where state legislators meet to write and vote on bills. These bills help run the state government. The Capitol Building is the tallest building in Topeka. You can take a free tour of the building!
