Coral are sea animals that can look like colorful rocks. There are about 300 types of coral in an area of Australia called the Great Barrier Reef.
The Great Barrier Reef is off the northeastern coast of Australia. As well as coral, other animals such as snails, jellyfish, giant clams, lobsters, birds, and fish, all live there.
Many people like to snorkel there. They swim with a small tube so they can breathe underwater. When people snorkel, they might see some of the amazing animals in the Great Barrier Reef.
