
For a long time, many musical instruments and tools were only designed for right-handers. Holding and using them did not work well for left-handers.
One of these tools was scissors. Using right-handed scissors in your left hand could make it difficult to see what you are cutting.
Left-handers had to adapt. This might mean practicing more to use their right hand with these things. It might mean choosing a different activity altogether.
Now there are many special versions of instruments and tools designed for left-handers to use. People can use left-handed scissors.
